I feel like a million Baht after the 10am class today with Rich Nichols (Regional Bikram Yoga Teaching Manager). It’s the 2nd class of Rich’s I’ve taken in my 3 days in Bangkok and I’ve already had a breakthrough.
Rich phoned me last night to go over a few issues he guessed were giving me grief, obviously picked up by the pained expressions dancing across my face and the fact I didn’t do Toe Pose, instead performing a second set of Tree. It may come as a surprise to some but EVERYONE here does Toe Pose! So you can imagine I felt like a bit of an ape hanging out in Tree while the local yogis sunk to the floor around me.
After listening to my knee issues etc, he offered some advice and asked me to attend the morning session. Well what do you know, I got down into Toe Pose! Only the right side mind you but I’m sure the left side will follow shortly. Thanks Rich, namaste.
Well I’m off to sample some of the local neighborhood (Ari) street food, mmm yet another way to warm up the body!
